Dr. Glen Adkins earned the Bachelor of Music degree from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, a Master’s in Church Music and Doctorate of Musical Arts degrees from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. From 1984 to 2007, Glen was Minister of Music at the First Baptist Church of Augusta, Georgia and the First Baptist Church of Greenville, South Carolina. During his years in Greenville, he was adjunct professor at both Furman University and South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts. Glen has been Minister of Music at First Baptist Church Shreveport since August 2013.
